Representative Al Green described it best during his Art of the Steal speech on the floor of the U.S. HORs (my shorthand for House of Representatives, but if your brain went somewhere else, well…) when he said, “Trump has ruined the brand of America.”
Let’s talk about that.
Because America, love it or hate it, has always been more than a country. It’s been a brand. A myth. A carefully curated image sold to the world:
“Land of the Free.”
“Land of Opportunity.”
“Beacon of Democracy.”
But what happens when the face of your brand is a grifting, twice-impeached, four-times-indicted reality TV con man who cozies up to dictators and spits on the Constitution?
You get chaos. You get the collapse of credibility, influence, and trust.
When Trump talks about Biden being a clone, refers to himself as a king, or shares an image of himself as a pope, it’s not just Americans who notice.
Other countries don’t see strength; they see instability.
They don’t see democracy in action; they see a country crumbling under its own propaganda.
Trump turned the brand of America from “Yes We Can” to “Stand Back and Stand By.”
The MAGA movement hijacked patriotism and drenched it in authoritarian cosplay.
They replaced stars and stripes with AR-15s and Confederate flags.
They chant “USA” while trying to cancel voting rights, reduce education opportunities, ban books, and limit or criminalize anyone who opposes them.
That ain’t good for the brand, unless the brand you’re going for is fascism.
You think China isn’t watching?
You think Putin’s not laughing?
You think our allies haven’t clocked that America, the so-called moral compass, allowed a man who tried to overthrow an election to take center stage again?
Trump doesn’t just make us look weak. He makes us look stupid.
The brand could be rebuilt, but this circus needs to stop right now.
We need to get this clown out of the office, out of the spotlight, and out of our national narrative. What are we even doing, people?
He’s done enough damage.
He’s mocked our systems, trashed our institutions, and now? He’s cashing in. Literally!
Trump invited supporters to a private dinner… but only if they bought a certain amount of his Trump-themed meme coin.
The man who was elected to lead the “free world” is charging entry fees to access his attention.
Well, at least that’s what they thought they were getting. But, unsurprisingly, Trump sold them a fantasy.
He’s not running a campaign, he’s running a grift.
A cheap, clown-nosed, gold-toilet-level hustle that somehow still gets airtime like it’s serious politics.
This is not just embarrassing.
It’s dangerous.
We need to unite, regardless of how you voted.
Hold your representatives accountable.
Call out the cowardice.
Demand integrity.
Because if we don’t stop this mess now, there won’t be anything left to save.
The world is watching.
The seal is cracking.
The brand is a joke.
But we don’t have to be. Right now, it’s not too late to fix it.
